Pianoforte as it’s now formally called. With it I create textures and tunes in multiple genres and styles with a focus on songs—the marriage of melody and lyrics.

Although primarily a jazz pianist—as a soloist, accompanist, or in group settings—I do have fun as a singer-songwriter and as a bit of an essayist. I enjoy a broad palette of music, from bebop to pop, and the metric for me is, “Does it move me?”
This ethos paid off during the covid lockdown of 2020-21, during which my sanity was preserved by a year-long daily posting routine (begun in November of 2019) in which I promised to post SOMETHING every day for a full year.
